Seance Kit in Wooden Box

Based on historic rituals, this is a recreation of an unknown persons kit, which they used to attempt communication with the spirits.
An old, worn wooden box contains a collection of mysterious items and notes. Together they explain a ritual which may be safely attempted ...at your own risk.

Contents:
A genuine antique cabinet photograph (portrait of a lady), 6.3cm x 10.5cm
Brass candlestick holder, 7.7cm tall, and 2 small red candles
A small metal dish, aged with paint effects, 13cm diameter
A pocket compass, aged
Metal bell tied midway along a length of string
Glass bottle of salt, corked and labelled with the Alchemical symbol for salt, 9.5cm tall
An old key on a length of string, to be used as a pendulum, key is 3.6cm
An empty matchbox, for storage of the key pendulum
Papers; diagram of table arrangement, extract from The Bible (A4), three pages of procedure writings (A5)
Handmade notebook tied with string, a journal for recording paranormal occurrences, 14 pages 14.5cm x 10.5cm
The wooden box closes with a clasp and lid sits open without support, for display. Internally divided to house each item in the kit.

This item has been designed, hand made and hand aged by Shawcross Yard. It is intended to be an object of mystery and intrigue. Ideal for a cabinet of curiosities display, cosplay, LARP or performance. Each kit I make is a unique item.
